A música Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas foi escrita por Hugh Martin e Ralph Blane para o filme Meet Me in St. Louis em 1944, onde foi interpretada por Judy Garland. Em sua forma original, a música tinha letras mais melancólicas, que foram revisadas para uma versão mais otimista a pedido de Garland e de Tom Drake, seu co-estrela no filme.
