‘Should I Stay or Should I Go’ is a song by the British band The Clash, released as a single in 1982. The song became famous for its lyrics reflecting indecision and was written by Mick Jones, inspired by his tumultuous relationship with singer Ellen Foley. The song gained further notoriety and re-entered the charts in 1991, when it was re-released, reaching number one in the UK.
