Bad Company, by the band of the same name, was written by Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke. The songs lyrics are about outlaws and gunmen, reflecting the American popular cultures fascination with the Old West era. It was released in 1974 on the bands debut album, also titled Bad Company. The band named themselves after seeing a book on the East India Company, reflecting themes of partnership and camaraderie.
