Letra de
Tom Nelson

Old Tom Nelson had a son, lord a special one, lord a special one
Nelson found him in his shed, with rags around his head,
Nelson wrapped him in his shirt, and took him to the church
the preacher saw the babys face, strange and twisted shape
He said, throw it in the river, that thing has nothing to do with god
nelson rejected the preachers words, and payed an awful price
next day everybody knew, told me what to do
one night his house went up in flames, they wanted him in chains
we must burn it in the fire, that thing has nothing to do with god
nelson managed to get away, through the frosted clay
nelson took the baby to, a lady that he knew
the whole town searched for them in month, with torches ropes and guns
soon they'll be swinging from the branches, swinging like ragdolls in the wind
they could never leave the place, they could never leave a trace
one day early in the morn', the baby child was gone
nelson went down to the lake, with a hammer as a weight
he had water up to his nose, when he saw a rowing boat
god came gliding through the fog, with the baby in his hug
god said, I got room for you here. He climbed up and soon they were gone
they were never found again, never found again, never found agaaaain!
