Letra de
Matt Melton - Picture This

Picture this. A starry night.
A tent glowing from within by candle light.
Nestled under tall pine trees
Can you smell the pine needles on the gentle breeze?
A quiet spot, no noise from cars.
Just a nightingale's serenade beneath the stars.
Shall we peak inside? See what's in store?
We're snuggled in our sleeping bags toasty warm.
Picture this. A three-hour drive.
The sun has set, it starts to rain as we arrive.
We struggle in the dark to pitch the tent.
You forgot to bring the hammer and the stakes are bent.
We finish the job, cold and wet.
Crawl into the sleeping bags and whadya get?
A jammed up zipper and a millipede,
A rock is stickin in your back from underneath.
I'm coming around to your way of thinking.
I hate to admit it but you're usually right.
I'm not easily convinced, even when I'm on the fence.
But your rebuttals are so subtle, your debate is rather great.
And I can't agree to disagree try as I might.
Picture this. A warm wood fire
Crackles it pops along with nature's choir of
Contented crickets and inquisitive owls
And listen to that pensive coyote's howl.
Let's toast marshmallows, chocolate and grahms
and wash it all down with a heady dram
of 18-year Macallan that I have in a flask.
Can I have another snort? You don't have to ask.
Picture this. The fire won't catch.
It's been about an hour and we're running out of match-es
The smoke is getting in our eyes
It follows as I move my chair from side to side.
I do like the idea of toasted marshmallows
and having cocktails by the side of my fellow.
But your blood sugar is pretty high
and theres a burn ban in effect since mid-july.
I'm coming around to your way of thinking.
I hate to admit it but you're usually right.
I'm not easily convinced, even when I'm on the fence.
But your rebuttals are so subtle, your debate is rather great.
And I can't agree to disagree try as I might.
Picture this, the crack of dawn.
you peak out side the the tent, oh look, a fawn!
The coffee's on, percolatin'
Scrambled eggs, potatoes and a side of bacon.
Of course by then we may be out of wood
(She) That's okay we'll bring the stove. That coffee does smell good!

(She)Picture this. Moonlight and guitars.
(He)Sounds romantic, but you're right, the drive is awefully far.
(She)Think of hiking by a mountain stream
(He)Getting eaten my mosquitoes is not my dream.
(He)Muddy shoes, (She)country air,
(He)Squatting in the woods. (She)Bunnies! (He)Bears!
I'm coming around to your way of thinking.
I hate to admit it but you're usually right.
I'm not easily convinced, even when I'm on the fence.
(He)But your rebuttals are so subtle, your debate is rather great.
(She)Your elegant elocution has altered my conclusion.
(He)You've got a way with words that leads me to concur.
(She)Not only am I persuaded but fully indoctrinated.
(together)And I can't agree to disagree try as I might.
