Letra de
Mark Perkins Dawe - Wounded Soul

I saw the desperation survival’s, need for hope
silently staring back at me, from the end of a makeshift rope
I felt the need to help the need to try to, make a change,
my cost was only time,
seemed a fair exchange, a fair exchange,

I helped the helpless flee sheltered the, innocent weak,
felt the glory of the fight as I fought that faceless enemy,
I chased him through the broken town in my dreams through the night,
I saw my enemy’s eyes as he lay chest deep,
under my knife, under my knife,

faceless enemy screamin’ at me, just another life,
empty parent pleading with me, just another life,
broken child staring at me, just another life,
some nightmares never sleep, screamin’ my dreams through the-
night, just another life,
under my knife, under my knife,

I hated him felt the right to take his, soul that day,
in the morning in the mirror saw my humanity slip away,
now it seems I just can’t find who I, used to be,
this wounded soul is all that’s left, all that’s left of what’s-
left of me, what’s left of me.

Right is wrong, up is down futility is hope,
eye for an eye can’t go back down that, slippery slope,
before I go one question from this, lost daydreamer’s son,
where does all this darkness, where does it all-
come from? where does it all come from?
Where does it all come from?

faceless enemy screamin’ at me, just another life,
empty parent pleading with me, just another life,
broken child staring at me, just another life,
some nightmares never sleep, screamin’ my dreams-
through the night, just another life,
under my knife.
