On the drive to Denver
I got lost out in the dark
Nothing can get lost in here
If there was nothing here to start
Way off in the distance
I can see a pair of eyes
I don’t know if they're hunting me
Or if they’re merely spies
Burdened with this knowledge
I begin my travel back
Only back to where I do not know
I stumble and I fall
I want to call for help
But there is no one here to call
Feeling rather broken
I begin to comprehend
Nothing can bankrupt me
If there’s nothing I can spend
A renewed sense of purpose
Fuels my travels back
Only back to where I do not know
Way out in the desert
My throat cries out from thirst
Nothing here can quench it
And a slow death seems assured
Picking up the pieces
Of my crumblin mental health
Knowing how I survived thus far
Is my fair share of wealth
Nothing left to do
Except to keep on traveling back
