Oh Noite Feliz (O Holy Night) foi composta em 1847 por Adolphe Adam para o poema francês Minuit, chrétiens (Meia-noite, cristãos) de Placide Cappeau. Cappeau, um comerciante de vinhos e poeta, havia sido solicitado pelo pároco de sua cidade para escrever um poema de Natal.
