Every morning in the shallows you could see him swim by,
         G                            F
He was 44 inches weighed 19.5
          G                                                F
Kind of thick all over from his head to his hip,
         G                                                  F              G
And if you were a walleye you didn't give no lip to Big Jack

      Em            C        D                  G
(Big Jack, Big Ja----ack), Big Bad Jack.

Big Jack

G                                                        F
No one was sure where that big fish came from,
G                                                              F
Some say he was spawned in a slough in Saskatchewan.
G                                             F
But he grew up big and he grew up strong.
G                                                     F
His teeth got sharp, his fins got long, Big Jack

G                                                  F
Then came the day at the bottom of the lake
G                                                                  F
Jack thought he would snack on some weird looking splake,
G                                                         F
It was red, it was white, it was shiny and bright
G                                                     F             G
He just had to strike it he just had to bite, Big Jack

Em            C        D                  G
(Big Jack, Big Ja----ack), Big Bad Jack.

Big Jack

  G#                                        F#
He bit down hard and he swam like hell,
     G#                                                 F#
The day started good but it would not end well for Big Jack.
G#                                                    F#
Letawsky was casting and jerking his rod frisky,
G#                                                        F#
Contemplating on life, his new tattoo, and kill-whiskey.
 G#
When suddenly his Pfleuger started screaming and his rod started divin',
G#                                                                 F#
He said "get the net boys it's a big one, I'm not jivin'" Big Jack

G#                                                            F#
Chris fought that fish for what seemed like an hour,
G#                                                      F#
But the fish got tired and started losing fin power.
G#                                                F#
They scooped him up with an oversize net,
      G#                                                                  F#                G#
They weighed him, took his picture, and we all lost our bets, to Big Jack.

     G#                                          F#
Well Chris put that fish back in the lake,
     G#                                                    F#
After kissing and cleaning the scum off his face.
G#                                                F#
Jack swam away with a sore mouth and throat,
        G#                                                        F#
And he looked up from the bottom and back at the boat, Big Jack

G#                                      F#
Just yesterday I heard someone say,
G#                                                            F#
That they seen a Big Jack in that same shallow bay.
         G#                                F#
He was 52 inches and weighed 29.5
     G#                                                    F#            G#
That fish swims around and he is still alive, Big Jack
