Wanted Dead or Alive was written by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora. It is known as one of Bon Jovis signature songs and discusses the life on the road as a musician. Inspired partially by life on tour, the song compares the life of a rock star with that of an Old West outlaw, using references from movies and popular culture to depict the lone cowboy image.
