Face in makeup and a soul returned
Gusu rules don’t allow
In the coldness of the springs
Scars of old no longer sting
Now he’s back, his heart is revived
Hear the pipa shout
as they share an Emperor’s Smile
A ribbon’s tied.
Telling all that he will never let go
He lies, lost behind a shroud of death
Altough his heart is full of righteous quests
With him all the wrongs can be alright
Together they do belong
Mountains travelled and night hunts observed
Broken but face undisturbed
Yet he lets the guqin sing
For one soul he’ll give his all
Till a ritual’s performed, it’s cause still unseen.
He’ll fight as many times, be it
Friend, foe, family. Don’t they know?

The lies revealed, a brother scolds
And while confessions made and truths unfold
For him he will make the wrongs all right
Together they do belong
