Lyrics of
Then And Now

Long ago, when I was small
Before computers and TV
We made it with hardly anything at all
How we did, is hard for me to see
We had coal oil lights and heating stoves
Lanterns and hand pumped water wells
Stacked firewood in long, long rows
It was not easy I am here to tell
And when you were sick
The doctor came to see you
Most people couldnt get to town
So the town came to you
We had the huckster man every few days
Brought candy, coal-oil, cough syrup and shoe strings
A few farm fresh eggs paid our way
So we did get some extra things
Some pine for the good ole days
I have lived both then and now
Considering all in I say
The good ole days are right now
