Something in the Way is part of Nirvanas second album, Nevermind, released in 1991. The song discusses Kurt Cobains experience of living under a bridge, which is a metaphor for his feelings of isolation and despair. Cobain later admitted that he never actually lived under the bridge, but that it represented his time of instability and homelessness.
