Lyrics of
Purple Haze

Purple Haze is one of Jimi Hendrixs most famous songs, released in 1967. Hendrix himself described the song as an abstract love story, but many interpret it as a reference to the use of psychedelic drugs, particularly LSD. The inspiration for the song came from a dream Hendrix had, where he found himself walking under the sea.

Purple haze all in my brain
Lately things don't seem the same
'Scuse me while I kiss the sky

Purple haze all around
Don't know if I'm comin' up or down
What ever it is, that girl put a spell on me

Help me
Help me
Oh, no, no

Purple haze all in my eyes, uhh
Don't know if it's day or night
Is it tomorrow, or just the end of time?
Ooo

Help me
Ahh, yea-yeah, purple haze, yeah
Oh, no, oh
Oh, help me
