All these familiar faces in unfamiliar places look around
They?ve heard of the murmurs of the man to be murdered outside the town
As I walk through the numbers of the people I remember holding palm trees in praise
I look to my father and walk to the slaughter for which I came
Father do you hear all the accusations that are ringing through my ears
Do you see the rivers of water in the eyes of my mother
Do you see her tears
When the dust has settled on this day
I look back on every step I took along the way
And I remember every tear dropped face on every woman, child and friend along the way
All those hills and valleys on the way to the Calvary I must cross
With a heart so weary from this cross I carry
I see all the hurting of people in mourning I see all their pain
Their sin I will take on and with strength will walk on and carry their shame
Father do you hear all of the cursing the mocking in my ear
Do you see my heart bended and broken
Do you see its bitter tears
When the dust has settled on this day
I look back on every step I took along the way
And I remember every tear dropped face on every woman, child and friend along the way
Father there is for one thing that I pray
That they know how much I gave
That they see I?d give my life to death
And love them until my final breath
Father there is for one thing that I pray
That they know how much I gave
That they see I?d give my life to death
And love them until my final breath
My final breath
When the dust has settled on this day
I look back on every step I took along the way
And I remember every tear dropped face on every woman, child and friend along the way
