Hero, performed by Chad Kroeger (lead vocalist of the band Nickelback) and Josey Scott (lead vocalist of the band Saliva), was written as the theme for the 2002 Spider-Man movie. The inspiration for the song came from the composers desire to create a rock song that could encapsulate the essence of the Spider-Man character and his heroic journey.
