Lyrics of
Everchanging

He taught his son everything about life.
How to keep his money, and how to please his wife.
Told his son not to get settled in, cuz there's always
change.
It's an everchanging world.
He built a wealthy family, they were set for life.
Then this nation hit a bump, and it fell into a slump.
And all of that was gone.
It's an everchanging world.
A few years later, a man came to power.
He rose from Germany, and began to conquer.
Well this man's son stepped up. He said, "I'll end
the terror over seas."
It's an everchanging world.
He started gettin' letters from a base in Ukraine.
They Expressed his son's fears and his deepest pain.
He said, "Daddy it's gettin to dark to see, I promise
I'll write again.
The letters then stopped coming.
A knock heard on the door.
An ill faced young man stood silentley out there.
He said, "Sir I'm sorry, your son has gone. He was
shot in the head while giving aid.
Sir, he felt no pain.
This happened on the day we sailed
To Normandy.
It's an everchanging world.
The young man quickly left, and the man dropped down
to grieve.
Then the man fell unconscience and awoke in a hospital
bed.
He asked the nurse what had happened.
And the name of the man to whom went the fame.
She said a soldier with a gunshot to the head.
We did not get his name.
It's an everchanging world.
