YMCA

YMCA is a song by the American disco group Village People that was released in 1978 as a single. The song became one of the biggest hits of the 70s disco era and an icon of queer culture. The inspiration came from Victor Willis, one of the bands lead singers, who frequented the New York YMCA and noticed the role it was playing in the citys gay community at that time.
