Nights In White Satin

Nights in White Satin was written by Justin Hayward at the age of 19. It was inspired after receiving a gift of white satin from his girlfriend. The song was one of the first to be recorded by The Moody Blues with the London Festival Orchestra, marking the bands transition to a more symphonic sound, starting with the album Days of Future Passed in 1967.
