Killing Me Softly

The song Killing Me Softly With His Song was composed by Charles Fox and Norman Gimbel in 1971. The song became famous in the voice of Roberta Flack in 1973, and years later, it was covered by the Fugees, bringing the song back to the charts. The inspiration for the lyrics came when Gimbel was in a bar and watched Don McLean (famous for the song American Pie) performing. McLeans performance was so moving that Gimbel decided to write a song about ... the feeling of being touched by an artists performance. See more [+]
