Hungry Heart

Hungry Heart was originally written by Bruce Springsteen for the Ramones after a meeting with Joey Ramone. However, his manager, Jon Landau, convinced him to keep the song for himself, leading to Springsteens first big commercial hit. The lyrics discuss the desire to run away and the difficulty of satisfying one’s heart, themes that recur in Springsteens work.
