Helter Skelter

Helter Skelter was written by Paul McCartney as a rebuttal to critics who had branded The Beatles music as too soft. Inspired by a review of The Who, describing their sound as loud and raw, McCartney aimed to create something even more extreme. Tragically, the song was later misinterpreted by Charles Manson as a call for a racial war, which he used to justify his cults heinous crimes.
