Give Thanks is a contemporary Christian song written by Henry Smith in 1978. Smith was inspired to write the song by his own healing from sclerosis and the Bible verse 1 Thessalonians 5:18. The song gained worldwide popularity in the 1980s after being recorded by singer Don Moen in 1986.
