‘Femme Fatale’ is a song written by Lou Reed, the frontman of The Velvet Underground. The song was written at the request of Andy Warhol, who suggested Reed write a song about Edie Sedgwick, a frequent visitor to Warhols famous Factory. Sedgwick was an iconic and tragic figure within Warhols circle and embodied the idea of a femme fatale.
