Common People

Common People is a song by the British band Pulp, from their 1995 album Different Class. The inspiration for the song came from a real-life experience of the vocalist Jarvis Cocker encountering a Greek student at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. The song discusses a rich girls attempt to mimic the lifestyle of the working class, addressing themes of social inequality.
