505 is a song by English band Arctic Monkeys, featured on their second studio album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, released in 2007. The title of the song refers to room number 505 of the hotel where vocalist, Alex Turner, stayed in New York. Turner has described the song as the first time I’ve ever been truly proud of something I wrote. The song is noted for its emotionally potent finale and is often regarded as one of the bands best works.
