Shanna Wylie is the correct tag for this artist. Her only official release as a solo artist is 'How Could You Call Her Baby' on the Waiting To Exhale soundtrack, produced by Babyface, next to which she also provided backing vocals on the next Whitney Houston movie soundtrack The Preacher's Wife. Other solo tracks which later emerged on Myspace are 'Without You' and 'Something New'. Biography: Born the only girl and the youngest of three siblings ... to Bruce and Beverly Wylie in Charlotte N.C., the catalyst for Shanna's early beginnings as a soloist was her exposure to performing and leading solos for her community's church, on the Youth Choir, at the age of 5. Shanna continued as a soloist through various performances in her community and school competitions, which let her to connect with UGR Management at the age of 12, with whom she signed her first management contract. While under the wings of UGR, she was invited to attend a concert where she met Whitney Houston. Shanna gave an astounding performance of Ms. Houston's hit single “I Will Always Love You”; which left an memorable impact on the Superstar. Shortly after seeing Shanna's performance at the show, Whitney Houston's management company, “Angel way Management”, contacted Shanna, bought out UGR and began Managing and developing Shanna as a solo R&B Artist. The relationship grew over the next few years and led to a project for Shanna with Baby Face, who wrote and produced the track “How Could You Call Her Baby?” which provided Shanna the opportunity to debut on the “Waiting to Exhale” Soundtrack (appearing courtesy of Better Place Records via Elektra Music Group); with whom she later recorded her first album, which unfortunately was never released. Shanna's exposure and introduction to various producers, musicians, and music executives; has allowed her to nuture these relationships where she has gained the respect of the industry and has continued to perform, write and collaborate with other artists in various genres of music.
