Anssi Kela (born July 29, 1972 in Kerava, Finland) is a Finnish singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalist who has published six albums. The first, Nummela, is one of the best-selling Finnish records – it has sold over 150,000 copies (fivefold platinum). The album is named after Kela's former hometown Nummela, in Vihti. Kela became famous with his hit "Mikan faijan BMW". His song "Milla" is on the soundtrack of the movie Me and Morrison. His 2009 al ... bum, Anssi Kela, debuted at number four on the Finnish album chart. Before his solo career Kela played in a band named Pekka ja Susi. Anssi began his musical career playing various stringed instruments, including the violin, cello and contrabass. In his teens he however became increasingly interested in rock music, and started to focus on guitar and bass instead. He also picked up singing at an early age, and has later shown skills with the drums as well. During his career, Kela has sold over 230,000 records in Finland. Apart from music, Anssi Kela also a friend of motorsports, driving himself in the Finnish Formula 3 class.
