IN 1994 Tuca Fernandes (former vocalist), Manno Goes (bass and vocals) and Roberto Espinola (guitar and vocals) joined to form a group that blends ax music with samba-reggae, starting by doing covers of Bob Marley, UB40, Tim Maia, Jorge Benjor and other artists they admired. In 1997 received an invitation from EMI Music for gravarem their first album. That's when the band decided to call the group with the name Jammil and One Nights, a pun on the ... book One Thousand and One Nights. Since then recorded two albums for EMI, two extinct by April Music, a semi-independent Attraction by two independent and two Som Livre, in Bahia partnership with Film and Video and Music TPM, seal banda. The Jammil and One Nights was the first band from Bahia to burn a DVD, what happened in 2002. Then came the CD and DVD Praieiro Live, released in 2005, registering a house show in São Paulo DirecTV Music Hall, current Citibank Hall and performed an acoustic show in Costa do Sauipe, Bahia, with two bonus tracks recorded at the event Axe Minas in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. His latest album is Three Jammil, new album and third DVD of the band, recorded entirely in Bahia. In April 2011 Tuca Fernandes announced he was leaving the band to pursue a solo career.
