"Doc Walker" are a Country duo that had their origins in small-town Manitoba, Canada, where guitarists, vocalists, and songwriters Chris Thorsteinson, Dave Wasyliw, and Murray Pulver grew up together in Portage La Prairie. By the time Thorsteinson and Wasyliw were 14 years old (Pulver was three years older), they had already formed the group Freedom and were doing local gigs. In time the name morphed into Doc Walker and it became just Thorsteins ... on and Wasyliw working socials, fairs, and campgrounds as a duo. Doc Walker is one of Canada’s most renowned country music bands. With a career spanning over two decades Doc Walker first emerged onto the scene with the release of their debut album Good Day to Ride in 1997. Since then, Doc Walker has released six award-nominated albums and has earned 12 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards. With the release of their highly successful album Beautiful Life in 2008, Doc Walker swept up the awards scene, winning the CCMA Award’s coveted Fans’ Choice Award along with the award for Album, Single, and Songwriters’ of the Year. With over 30 hit singles and twenty years of headlining on both national and international stages, Doc Walker has established themselves as a legendary Canadian country music act. Recognized as one of the hardest working bands in the business, it is their passion for creating and performing music that fans adore which has set Thorsteinson and Wasyliw apart from other artists in the industry.See more [+]
