María Amparo Ochoa Brown (born Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico - 29 September 1946 - 8 February 1994) was a Mexican singer. Better known as Amparo Ochoa, belonged to a generation of singers that had its origins in the sixties, and emerged from the beginning as the great figure of the nascent Nueva Canción (also Nueva Cancion). Since childhood, said singing at home with his father Don Chano and school events. In 1965 she entered and won a contest in he ... r hometown, with a song called "Hermosísimo Lucero."
