Aborto Elétrico br

Aborto Elétrico (Portuguese for Electric Abortion) was a Brazilian rock band formed in 1978 in Brasília, Distrito Federal, Brazil. The band primarily consisted of future Legião Urbana frontman Renato Russo (bass), André Pretorius (guitar) and future Capital Inicial drummer Fê Lemos (drums). After André Pretorius left the band in order to pay military service in South Africa, Renato Russo assumed the guitars while Fê Lemos' brother Flávio became t ... he band's bassist. Ico Ouro Preto, the brother of Dinho Ouro Preto, became the band's guitarist later on. Due to constant argues and creative divergences Renato Russo and Fê Lemos had, the band was disestablished in 1982. Aborto Elétrico's repertoire would be later on shared between Legião Urbana and Capital Inicial, while a huge part of it would be forgotten. After Aborto Elétrico's disestablishment, its members formed another bands: Renato Russo and Ico Ouro Preto became members of Legião Urbana, while Flávio and Fê Lemos, alongside Ico's brother Dinho Ouro Preto, formed Capital Inicial. Aborto Elétrico never released any official album, but in 2005, Capital Inicial released the album MTV Especial: Aborto Elétrico, containing nine previously unreleased songs by Aborto Elétrico, and other nine songs already recorded by Capital Inicial or Legião Urbana.
